When you create a cleaning schedule, you make it easy to ensure that your house stays neat and tidy. A schedule is also a must even if you use a professional maid service like The Maids of New Hampshire in North Hampton. This is because it will help you know exactly when and where to clean. A cleaning schedule will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed when the cleaning jobs pile up.

The first step when creating a cleaning schedule is to write down all the cleaning tasks that you need to accomplish. Take time to walk from room to room so that you don’t leave any task off the list.

Once you have listed all the jobs that need to be done, sit down and decide how many times each job needs to be done over a given time frame, say a month. Identify the jobs that need to be done every day, those that need to be done 1 to 3 times a week, those than need to done on a monthly basis and those that are done once a year.

Here Is an Example ofthe List You Should Create

  • Daily: Make bed, wash dishes, clean surfaces, do laundry etc.
  • Weekly: Clean bathrooms, take out trash, vacuum, dust etc.
  • Monthly: Clean windows and mirrors, clean and disinfect garbage disposal, clean oven, clean cupboards etc.
  • Yearly: polish wood surfaces and silverware, clean curtains

The last thing to do when creating your cleaning schedule is type it up and print it. Place your printed copy in a conspicuous place in your home where you spend a good bit of time as a reminder. This may be on a bulletin board, on your refrigerator, or anywhere else that you think you will see your chore list every day. Create an interval between different jobs rather than doing all of them in a short time so that you don’t get burned out on cleaning.
