Superior Home Cleaning Services in Columbus with our Unique 22-Step Healthy Touch Deep Cleaning System

Expecting a house full of people for a party? There are so many things to plan already that making things as easy as possible is definitely preferred. First, outsource your cleaning to a housekeeping service, especially one that does same-day house cleaning to get you completely party ready.

Then, try this neat idea for serving your guests—or rather, letting them serve themselves in a creative and easy-to-arrange station system!

Four Station Ideas

Stations are small areas built around a theme. At kids’ parties, for instance, you might have a game station, a piñata station, and a snack station. At adult parties, though; you can use the station system in a much more sophisticated way.

For each station, you’ll want an appropriately-sized table, a table cloth, and complementary serving dishes and utensils. You can keep all of the stations the same for a more elegant look, or style them to be similar but different for some more casual charm.

Here are four station ideas for serving food to get you started:

1. Hors d’oeuvres. Set up your hors d’oeuvres on this table with small plates and napkins for serving. Arrange around a centerpiece or use the food itself as the centerpiece on a stacking tray.

2. Entrée. This is buffet-style, up-classed. Arrange the food in differing tiers of dishes. Try to think of the food as decoration, and make it as eye-catching as it is satisfying!

3. Dessert. Thankfully, desserts are often beautiful in their own right! If you’re serving small petit four style desserts, provide small plates and let your guests choose their own combination. If you’re serving pie or cake, cut them beforehand and put them on plates from which your guests can choose.

4. Drinks. You can actually split this into two or three stations: for instance, you might have a bar, a soda bar, and a coffee bar. You can have a lot of fun with these areas, providing mix-your-own drinks or providing a wide variety of flavor additions for coffee or hot chocolate.

You can also add stations for activities if you’re looking for a relaxed party, like a game station with a deck of cards and a couple of board games or a memory station with a Polaroid camera and easy-to-use frames.

Whatever you choose, stations are a great way to set up a party!
